The Samudera Hotel would not normally qualify as a discount hotel but I rated it as such as it is the only decent hotel in Kuala besut Malaysia. The rooms are clean and are a decent size they have air-con and TV but no hotwater. the staff and owners at Samudera were accommadating as they did make a deal with us for ahalf day rate as we did not book the bus before we left the Perhentians and were stuck there till the night bus at 8:30 PM something you might note if you are going to the perhentians is to book your bus a day or 2 in advance.
